Sitting in the back seat of the car with the radio buzzing while running errands with my mom after school is where I first discovered Dave Ramsey. I didn’t realize it back then but listening to each radio show guest scream “We’re Debt Free” day-after-day was slowly laying the foundation of the life I aspired to live.

Fast forward a couple of years and I was able to do just that. Leaving normal behind, I graduated college debt-free, saved up enough money to pay cash for my first car, and had a fully-funded emergency fund. Then the pandemic hit, and I was left without a job like many Americans. Although I was fine financially because of Ramsey’s guiding principles, I kept coming back to the question, “What is my purpose?” I realized then that the foundation had already been set. With my passion for budgeting and investing along with my Midwestern values of helping those around you, I took the leap of faith and became a financial advisor.

Looking back now, it was the best decision I ever made. Meeting with individuals where they are at in their financial journey and giving them the tools and resources to take control of their life and their money while working with them to build out a retirement plan that is personalized to their goals and aspirations is where I found my purpose.
