Sari “Mak” Maksad

I was born in Aley, Lebanon, a small country which is considered dangerous to most, but my home nonetheless and I lived there for the first decade of my life. I have brave parents. They saw an opportunity in the US and moved our family here. My brother and I were blessed to grow up here while having the perspective of bootstrapping life in general. We ended up in Mechanicsville, Virginia, a small country town where I learned southern hospitality and manners from an American perspective. About 10 years later, I decided it was my duty to give back to the country and the people who welcomed me with open arms by joining the United States Marine Corps. Serving the United States has been the most fulfilling duty I have taken on to this day & I miss it bittersweetly. While in the military, I saw myself and the other young service members around me make some bad financial decisions which took us time to recover from. I thankfully got out of that quickly and started helping others do the same, which ignited a new desire in me to help people in this way. This is now a new duty I have taken on of serving my country and the people around me while leaving a lasting impact. To be honest with you guys, I am the furthest thing from a salesman, so my methods are anything but orthodox, but I have genuine care about those I get to work with which I believe will set me apart and I hope you get to see that! A couple of cool things about me are that I am a very active person who’s either rolling around on the mats training jiu jitsu, spending time with my beautiful wife and four pets, or somewhere in the corner of a weight room lifting heavy things and putting them down.
